Shane Rogers '10 is regarded as one of the best defensive linemen the Husson football program has ever produced, playing for coach Gabby Price from 2004-2007.

The 2005 D3football.com All-East Region team selection tailed 143 tackles (100 unassisted, 43 assisted and 42 for loss), 15.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 11 pass breakups and four interceptions in 33 career games played.

At the time of his induction - Rogers ranked among the program's top-15 career leaders in interception returns for touchdowns (two, tied for first), fumble returns for a touchdown (one, tied for first), sacks (second), tackles for loss (third), forced fumbles (tied for fifth), interceptions (tied for ninth), solo tackles (10th), total tackles (11th), passes defended (12th) and assisted tackles (tied for 15th). 

The two-time captain helped Husson win 18 games during his four seasons, including the program's first ever victory over Southern Virginia University in 2004 and upset victories over National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I-A member La Salle University in 2006 and NCAA division II member Pace University in 2007.

In addition, Rogers was the first student-athlete from the football program to earn a postseason award.

Rogers had two stints as a member of the Husson University football coaching staff from 2008-2011 and returning in 2013-2014, serving as linebackers coach during both stints. During his time as an assistant coach, he helped the Eagles earn the program's first-ever conference title and berth into the NCAA division III national championship in 2014. He also mentored numerous Eastern Collegiate Football Conference All-Conference selections, including the 2014 ECFC defensive player of the year Stephan Dance who also received American College Football Network All-American First Team honors and New England Football Writers Division II / Division III All-New England Team accolades.

Rogers earned a bachelor of science in sport management from Husson in 2010.
 
A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Rogers attended Warren Harding High School.
