Frank Pergolizzi, one of the longest-serving athletic directors in Husson University history, led the department of athletics from 2013 to 2023.

Over his 10-year tenure, Pergolizzi guided the Eagles to 57 conference championships across 14 sports and 40 NCAA tournament appearances in nine sports.

The 2017–18 academic year marked a historic milestone under Pergolizzi's leadership, as Husson achieved its highest-ever finish in the Division III National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Directors' Cup, placing inside the top 100 for the first and only time in program history.

Pergolizzi oversaw the addition of four varsity sports during his time at Husson: women's tennis, men's swimming & diving, men's track & field, and women's golf.

His impact also extended to major facility enhancements. He helped spearhead the creation of the Wadleigh Academic Center within Newman Gymnasium, completed in 2015, and the Wight's Strength & Conditioning Facility, finished in fall 2016.

Pergolizzi played a pivotal role in the upgrades to the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex, including the addition of a press box for football and field hockey in 2015 and the replacement of the FieldTurf surface, improved drainage system, new fencing and an updated scoreboard in spring 2016.

In 2020, he supported the resurfacing of John P. Boucher Field with new FieldTurf, and in 2022, he contributed to the development of the covered Frances M. O'Keefe Hitting Pavilion at the Robert & Frances O'Keefe Softball Field.
