Bethany Sevey '12 was a standout shooting guard for the Husson University women's basketball program, playing for hall of fame member Kissy Walker '03G from 2008-2011.

In 100 games career games, Sevey netted 1,030 points for a 10.3 points per game average, while shooting 41.1% (359-873) from the field, 37.7% (158-419) from 3-point range and 77.4% (154-199) from free throw line.

During her senior season, Sevey garnered North Atlantic Conference Player of Year honors and was selected to the  All-NAC first team and to the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-State Second Team. During the 2010-11 season, Sevey averaged 16.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 45.9 percent (263-355) from the field, 43.4 percent (72-166) from 3-point range, and 81.8 percent (63-77) from the free throw line.

During her outstanding senior season, Sevey set single-game records for points scored in a game (43, at Thomas College - 1/31/2011) and an half (28, at Thomas College - 1/31/2011), while also tying the record for most three-pointers made in game with seven at home against  Vermont State University Johnson (formerly Johnson State College - 1/15/20211). At the time of her induction, Sevey remained at the top of the leader board in points scored in single-game.

As a senior captain, she set a new single-season mark for 3-point field goal percentage, while tying the single-season record for most 3-point shots made with 72 during her final season wearing the green and gold.

Husson won 69 games over her four-year career, capturing the NAC championship her junior and senior seasons and reaching the conference finals three times in addition to earning a pair of NCAA tournament bids in 2010 and 2011.

Sevey ranked among the program's top-10 career leaders in 3-point percentage (tied for fourth), 3-point field goals made (tied for fifth) and free throw percentage (sixth).

Sevey earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in sport management from Husson in 2012.

A native of Skowhegan, Maine, Sevey attended Skowhegan Area High School.
