Justin Lindie '11 is one of the greatest running backs and special teams players in the history of Husson University football, earning four letters from 2007-2010.
In 34 career games played, Lindie ran for 2,351 total yards on 441 attempts with 29 touchdowns, caught 14 passes for 96 yards and threw 11 passes for 161 yards with a score.
He was also a key member on the Eagles' special teams units as a return specialist and a punter for coach Gabby Price and coach Niles Nelson. He record 698 yards off 30 kick returns and 156 yards off 18 punt returns with a score, while averaging 34.6 yards on 110 punts. Only two of his 110 punts were blocked while pinning the opponent inside the 20-yard line 19 times.
Lindie entered the hall of fame ranked among the program's top-10 career leaders in kick return yards (second), rushing yards (third), rushing attempts (third), rushing touchdowns (third), all-purpose yards (3,301, third), total points scored (182, third), touchdowns scored (30, third), punt yards (3,804, third), rushing yards per game (69.1, fifth), all-purpose yards per game (97.1), punt return yards (fifth), touchdowns responsible for (31, sixth), total offensive yards (2,512, seventh) and passing yards (10th).
As a senior, Lindie posted his best season in a Husson uniform by leading the team with 961 rushing yards on 197 carries while finishing first on the team with 10 rushing touchdowns. He also caught eight passes for 35 yards and completed 3-of-8 passes for 144 yards and a score. He also recorded 45 punts for a average of 35.4 and eight inside the 20-yard line.
Following the season, Lindie was selected to the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference All-Conference Second Team as a Running Back. He was also named to the ECFC all-conference honorable mention squad as a punter.
As a sophomore, Lindie helped the Eagles a post a program record at the time 7-3 mark en route to earning the program's first-ever post season appearance.
Lindie was a selected as a team captain during his senior season in 2010.
Lindie earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Husson in 2011.
A native of Waterville, Maine, Lindie attended Winslow High School.
