James Zukowski '00 was a workhorse pitcher for hall of fame member John "JK" Kolasinski '85 from 1997-2000, helping the Braves post an overall record of 87-79 with two Maine Athletic Conference Championships in 1997 and 1998.

In 38 career appearances on the mound, Zukowski earned 20 wins and posted a 3.61 earned run average in 221.2 innings, while tallying 189 strikeouts and limiting opponents to a .243 batting average. The 1998 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-District 5 choice tossed 18 complete games and one shutout in 36 career starts.

At the time of his induction, the right-handed pitcher ranked among the program's top-10 career leaders in wins (fourth), appearances (tied for 10th), starts (third), complete games (fourth), innings (fourth) and strikeouts (189).

His best season in a Braves' uniform came during his junior season (1999) when he made 10 appearances with 10 starts and sported a 6-4 record with a 2.73 earned runs average and 61 strikeouts in 62.2 innings. Zukowski held opponents to a .186 (43-231) batting average, becoming just the 11th pitcher at the time to hold an opponent below a .200 batting average in a single-season since the 1972 season.

After the season, Zukowski was named to the MAC all-conference first team, the NAIA northeast all-region team while earning NAIA All-American honorable mention honors.

Zukowski earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in sport management from Husson in 2000.

A native of Bourne, Massachusetts, Zukowski attended Bourne High School.
