Alecia Palmer competed in three varsity sports at Husson University and excelled in all of them for coach Kate Goupee, coach Chris Wood and coach Jim Karcanes from 2012-2016, Palmer ran cross country in the Fall before running track for the Winter and Spring seasons as a member of the indoor and outdoor track & field programs.

Palmer was a vital member of the first-two North Atlantic Conference Championship teams in Husson women's cross country program history, winning the individual NAC championship in 2012, in addition to being named NAC runner of the year that same season. Palmer also earned four All-NAC selections throughout her career and was named Husson's Clara Swan Female Athlete of the Year Award winner in 2012-13.

Palmer recorded three individual victories during her time as an Eagle and holds three of the top-10 fastest 5K times and five of the top-10 fastest 6K times in program history.

During her indoor career, the 2012 women's cross country Eagle Award Winner qualified for the New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet  in 2016 as a member of the 4x200-meter relay team. Palmer also holds the school's indoor records for the 1,000-meters and the 3,000-meters, while also ranking in the top ten for the 800-meters, mile and was a part of top-ten times in the 4x200 and the 4x800 meter relays.

Over the course of her outdoor track career, Palmer helped the Eagles secure the inaugural NAC championship in 2015, while also earning an individual championship in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a meet-record time of 12:01.3. The 2015 Outdoor Track & Field Eagle Award winner qualified for the New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship three times in the 3000-meter steeplechase, earning a ninth-place finish at the 2015 championship meet. Additionally, Palmer qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championship, finishing 24th in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

Palmer holds the program record in the 3000-meter steeplechase and was a member of two school-record relay teams (4x400 meter and 4x800 meter). Palmer also ranked among the program's career top-10 times in numerous events.

Palmer is the first member of the track & field programs and the second women's cross country member to be inducted into the Husson University Sports Hall of Fame.

Palmer earned a bachelor of science in healthcare admin & public health in 2015 and a master's degree in occupational therapy from Husson in 2016.

A native of Presque Isle, Maine, Palmer attended Presque Isle High School.
