James “Jim” A. McKay was a four-year letterwinner as a forward on the Husson men’s basketball team (1959-1962).

McKay currently ranks in the top 30 on the career program records in free throws attempted (326), rebounding average (7.7), and field goals attempted (1,002).

The forward averaged 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds over his 66 career games.

While starting 66 career games under the direction of Coach Del Merrill, McKay helped guide three teams (1959-61) to three straight conference championships and 52 program wins.

He was a member of the only undefeated team in program history. The 1961 team went 19-0 with McKay in the post.

James “Jim” A. McKay graduated from Husson College in 1962 with a degree in Accounting.
