Stacey DeCastro played soccer at Husson University from 1971-1974 and left his mark on the men's soccer record book. DeCastro was a 1973 NAIA All-American selection, a four-time NAIA All-District honoree, a two-time USC All-New England team member, a 1972 Outstanding College Athlete of America selection, and a 1974 All-Conference team member. 

DeCastro holds the all-time goals scored record for an individual in men's soccer history with an astounding 166 career goals in 61 games played. DeCastro holds the all-time goals record by 87 goals and is also the all-time assists leader in Husson history with 90 for his career.  Stacey also holds program records for most goals in one game (13), most assists in one game (6), most points in one game (30), most shots in one game (21), in addition to holding the title for longest streak of consecutive games with at least one goal scored (15). 

DeCastro graduated from Husson in the spring of 1975 with a degree in business management. DeCastro's 1973 men's soccer team was also inducted into the Husson Sports Hall of Fame in 2022 and his No. 10 jersey is retired for all men's soccer players.

DeCastro resides in Providence, Rhode Island with his wife Suzette. Together they have four children, Melissa, Jessica, Matthew and Justin.
