Beth Miller ’97 was a four-year standout for the Husson University women’s basketball program, playing for hall of fame member Kissy Walker ‘03G from 1994-1997.

One of the premier interior players in the program’s history, Miller finished her career with 1,088 points, 65 assists, 455 rebounds, 100 steals and 57 blocks, while shooting 48.0 percent (422-879) from the floor and 69.0 percent (232-336) from the free throw line in 104 career games. She averaged 15.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in her career.

At the time of her induction, Miller ranked among the program’s top-25 career leaders in points (13th), scoring average (tied for 21st), field goals made (10th), field goals attempted (18th), field goal percentage (seventh), free throws made (ninth), free throws attempted (10th), free throw percentage (17th), rebounds (17th), rebounding average (23rd), blocks (10th), blocked shot averaged (0.5, 14th) and games played (104).

Her best season in a Husson uniform came during her senior season when she tallied 433 points, 141 rebounds, 38 steals, 21 blocks and 30 assists en route to earning Maine Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team honors and Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-State Second Team selection. During the 1996-1997 season, Miller averaged 16.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 48.0 percent (165-344) from the field and 66.0 percent (93-141) from the free throw line. Additionally, Miller also became the fifth player program history at the time to score 400 or more points in a single-season.

Husson won 74 games over her four-year career, capturing the MAC championship her sophomore and junior seasons and reaching the conference finals twice in addition to earning a pair of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Tournament bids in 1994-1995 and 1995-1996.

Miller earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Husson in 1997.

A native of Bradford, Maine, Miller attended Central High School.
