Scott Brown ‘94 fastened himself as one of Husson’s best ever forwards, patrolling the Braves frontcourt under the tutelage of hall of fame member Bruce MacGregor from 1990-1993 after transferring from National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I member St. Francis College.

The senior captain helped guide the Braves to one Western Maine Athletic Conference Championship in and one National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics District 5 title in 1989-1990 with two NAIA national tournaments berths in 1989-1990 and 1991-1992. During his varsity career, Husson posted a record of 100-41 with three WMAC runner-up finishes in 1990-1991, 1991-1992, and 1992-1993 as well as a NAIA district 5 runner-up finish in 1991-1992.

He also helped the 1991-1992 team win the program’s first-ever national tournament game over nationally ranked University of the Sciences (formally known as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science). The No. 15 ranked Braves defeated the No. 14 ranked Devils by a score of 82-68 to advance to the program’s first-ever sweet sixteen.

The 1992-1993 Nelson DeGrasse Team Award recipient finished his career with 1,517 points, 238 assists, 522 rebounds, 109 steals and five blocks, while shooting 45.7 percent (647-1416) from the floor, 33.2 percent (63-190) from behind the 3-point arc and 59.7 percent (160-268) from the free throw line in 116 career games. Brown averaged 13.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.9 steals per game in his career.

At the time of his induction, the NAIA district 5 all-tournament team selection ranked in the top-25 in Husson men's basketball history in points (11th), field goals made (seventh), field goal attempts (third), assists (19th), assists average (tied for 24th), steals (21st) and games played (12th).

Brown earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Husson in 1994.

A native of Oberlin, Ohio, Brown attended Oberlin High School.
