Bryan Jefferson ‘96 fasten himself as one of Husson University men’s basketball’s best ever point guards, patrolling the Braves backcourt under the tutelage of fellow hall of fame members Bruce MacGregor and Warren Caruso '89, '08G, '18G from 1993-1996.

The two-time National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American Honorable Mention honoree helped guide the Braves to two Maine Athletic Conference Championships and NAIA national championship berths in 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 as well as one MAC regular-season titles in 1993-1994 and a Western Maine Athletic Conference runner-up finish in 1992-1993. During his varsity career, the Braves posted a record of 93-35 (.727), including a 33-9 (.786) mark in conference play.

Jefferson finished his career with 1,195 points, 734 assists, 444 rebounds and 255 steals, while shooting 51.0 percent (471-924) from the floor, 35.2 percent (45-128) from behind the 3-point arc and 65.4 percent (208-318) from the free throw line in 124 career games. He averaged 9.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game in his career.

At the time of his induction, the two-time MAC all-conference selection ranked in the top-25 in Husson men's basketball program history in field goals made (23rd), field goal percentage (tied for 20th), free throws made (23rd), free throws attempted (22nd), assists (first), assists average (tied for first), steals (second), steals average (fourth) and games played (fourth).

In addition, the senior captain was selected to the Maine Men's Basketball Coaches and Writers Association All-State First Team twice in 1994-1995 and 1995-1996. Jefferson was also picked to play in the MMBCWA senior all-star game after averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 8.2 assists per game in his final season wearing the green and gold. He finished his senior season with 495 points, 149 rebounds, 75 steals and 246 assists, while shooting 56.1 percent (198-353) from the floor, 37.8 percent (17-45) from the 3-point line and 65.1 percent (82-116) from the free throw line.

Jefferson earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in sports management from Husson in 1996.

A native of Bronx, New York, Jefferson attended Archbishop Carroll High School.
