Megan Clement '12 was a two-sport athlete at Husson, holding a four-year career with the women's soccer program as a forward for hall of fame member Keith Bosley from 2007-2010 and a three-year career with the women's lacrosse program as an attacker for coach Mark Hundhammer from 2009-2011.
Clement helped the Eagles post a 59-24-1 (.708) win-loss mark during her four-year stretch as a member of the women's soccer program. She contributed to three North Atlantic Conference Championships followed by berths into the National Collegiate Athletics Association Division III National Championship in 2007, 2008, and 2009, along with a NAC runner-up finish during her final season on the pitch. She also helped the 2008 team win the program's first-ever national tournament game, a 2-0 shutout road victory over Norwich University.
The two-time NAC all-tournament team pick tallied 32 goals with 25 assists for 89 total points in 82 career games played. She entered the hall of fame ranked fifth all-time in assists, sixth in assists per game (0.30), tied for sixth in game-winning goals (9) and games played, seventh in points, eighth in shots per game (2.99), ninth in goals, and 12th in points per game (1.09) and goals per game (0.39).
At the time of her induction, Clement was one of six players in HU women's soccer history to record ten or more assists in a single season with ten in 2010.
An offensive juggernaut, Clement held 12 women's lacrosse program records upon graduation and remained near the top of nearly every statistical career and single-season category at the time she entered the hall of fame.
In 29 career games, Clement scored 94 goals and added 16 helpers for 110 total points with 200 shots, 17 free-position tallies, six women-up goals, two women-down goals, 66 ground balls, six draw controls, and 23 caused turnovers.
The two-time first team All-NAC selection and the 2010 NAC player of the year entered the hall of fame ranked second in team history in goals, points per game (3.79), goals per game (3.24), women-up goals, free-position goals; tied for second in game-winning goals (3); third in shots per game (6.90), shots on goal per game (5.38), shooting percentage (.470), women-down goals; sixth in points and shots on goal (156); eighth in free-position shooting percentage (.472); 11th in assists per game (0.55); 12th in shots on goal percentage (.780); and 19th in ground balls per game (2.28).
At the time of her induction, Clement held the HU women's lacrosse program's single-season records for games played (17, 2011), goals (49, 2010), goals per game (4.08, 2010), shots per game (9.42, 2010), women-up goals (4, 2011), and shots on goal per game (7.83, 2010).
The three-year captain helped the Eagles amass a 26-17-1 record in the program's first three years as a varsity sport, including three NAC runner-Up finishes, two NAC east regular season titles and two NAC east championship plaques.
She was also selected to the NAC all-tournament team twice and was chosen as the tournament MVP in 2011.
Clement earned a bachelor of science in psychology with a mental health rehabilitation technician certification and a diploma in substance abuse counseling from Husson in 2012.
A native of Brunswick, Maine, Clement attended Brunswick High School.
