Gene Burchill was a four-year letterwinner as a guard on the Husson basketball team (1979-82).
Burchill ranks fourth all time in field goals made (732), sixth in points (1665), and ninth in field goals attempted (1290).
On track to 1,665 points, Burchill shot an outstanding 56.7% from the floor and 77.6% from the free throw line. He also recorded 201 total rebounds throughout his time on the hardwood.
Starting in an even 100 games, Burchill helped guide the Braves to 83 wins. His squad was District 5 NAIA runners-up in his senior campaign.
A Kenyon award winner in 1980, Burchill as named NAIA All-District in the 1981 and 1982 and named All-State in 1982.
Burchill earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Husson in 1983.
Burchill currently resides in Fort Myers, Florida, with his wife, Denise. Burchill is currently a finance manager.
