Jason Hill ‘97 was four-year member of the Husson University men’s soccer program, playing forward for coach Bill Ashby and coach Mitch Ellisen from 1991-1992 and 1995-1996 and is regarded as one of the most prolific scorers in program history.

The three-time all-conference honoree tallied 56 goals and 38 assists for 150 points off 326 shots with 15 game-winning goals in 71 career games played.

At the time of his induction, the three-time Maine Soccer Coaches Association All-State selection ranked among the program’s top-10 career leaders in points (sixth), points per game (2.11, eighth), goals (sixth), goals per game (0.79, seventh), game-winning goals (second), assists (fifth), shots (third) and shots per game (4.59, fifth).

The two-time National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-District 5 pick led the Braves in scoring as a freshman in 1991 with 18 goals and 13 assists for 49 points, becoming the first player in program history to record 40 or more points in a season in over 17 years. Additionally, Hill also became the fifth player in program history to record 40 or more points in back-to-back seasons when he led Husson in scoring with 16 goals and eight assists for 40 points as sophomore in 1992.

As a senior, Hill earned NAIA All-American honorable mention honors and was selected to the United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-American Second Team after recording 12 goals with eight assists for 32 points.

He also collected United Soccer Coaches All-New England honors in 1991 while earning NAIA all-northeast accolades in 1995 and 1996.

The senior captain helped the Braves post a 43-25-5 (.623) win-loss mark with two NAIA district 5 championship tournament appearances in 1991 and 1992, and two Maine Athletic Conference Championship tournament appearances in 1995 and 1996 during his four-year stretch as a member of the men's soccer program.

Hill earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Husson in 1997.

A native of Bangor, Maine, Hill attended Bangor High School.
