One of the most dominating defensive presences in Husson University football program history, Ellis Throckmorton competed for the Eagles from 2013 to 2016 under Coach Gabby Price.
A four-time Eastern Collegiate Football Conference All-Conference selection, Throckmorton earned First-Team linebacker honors in 2014 and 2016 and Second-Team accolades in 2013 and 2015.
Throckmorton helped the Eagles win three-straight ECFC championships from 2014-16 and was recognized as a preseason All-American by the American College Football Network in 2016.
The 2016 Husson football Eagle Award winner was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society in 2016 and earned Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference honors in 2014.
During his four years with the Eagles, Throckmorton racked up 316 tackles, 168 solo and 148 assisted stops. He tallied 11 passes defended, six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 11.5 sacks and 46 tackles for losses.
Throckmorton ranks second all-time in assisted tackles, forced fumbles and fumble recoveries, third in total tackles and tackles for loss and fourth in unassisted tackles.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in management from Husson in 2017.
A native of Bangor, Maine, Throckmorton attended Bangor High School.
