Regarded as one of the top throwers in Husson University men’s track & field history, Eric Hathaway set the current standard for throwing at Husson from 2016-2019.

The only North Atlantic Conference Field Athlete of the Year selection in program history, Hathaway captured the award in 2018 helping Husson win its first NAC championship.

A two-time NAC champion in the shot put in 2017 and 2019, Hathaway also won the conference championship in the discus throw in 2017 and 2019 and the hammer throw in 2018 and 2019. Becoming the only thrower in program history to win two conference titles in three events.

Hathway became the program’s first-ever All-New England honoree in 2017 for the shot put, while also earning All-New England honors again in the shot put in 2018, becoming the only two-time All-New England recipient in program history.

Furthermore, Hathway is one of only two athletes in program history at the time of his induction to earn All-New England honors in both indoor and outdoor track & field in the same season, earning All-New England in the shot put in 2018.

At the time of his induction, Hathaway held the indoor track & field shot put record of 14.28 meters along with outdoor track & field records in the shot put (14.40 meters), discus (39.92 meters) and hammer throw (50.35).

Hathaway earned his Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Husson in 2020.

A native of Pittsfield, Maine, Hathaway attended Maine Central Institute.
