Cassie Berry '11 is considered one of the best hitting middle infielders in the history of the Husson softball program, playing second base for hall of fame member Amanda Bourgoin from 2007-2010.
The three-time All-North Atlantic Conference selection batted .375 (188-501) with 118 runs scored, 41 doubles, three triples, 19 home runs and 109 RBI's in 161 games played. Additionally, Berry posted a .436 on-base percentage and a .583 slugging percentage.
At the time of her induction, Berry ranked among the program's top-10 career leaders in home runs (first), total bases (292, first), fielding chances (639, first), RBI (first), at-bats (501, second), hits (second), doubles (third), games played (tied for third), extra-base hits (63, tied for third), walks (55, fifth), runs scored (tied for fifth), assists (244, sixth), batting average (seventh) and slugging percentage (seventh).
She entered the hall of fame holding the program's single-season marks for hits (62 in 2008) and walks (28 in 2009).
Berry helped guide Husson to a 98-64 overall record with three straight NAC regular-season championships from 2008-2010 and two NAC championships and berths to the National Collegiate Athletics Association Division III National Championship in 2009 and 2010, which included the program’s first conference title in 23 years.
Berry earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in sport management from Husson in 2011.
A native of Newcastle, Maine, Berry attended Lincoln Academy.
