Ross McGee was a four-year letterwinner on the Husson men's golf team, playing for hall of fame member Bruce MacGregor from 2003-2006.

The two-time North Atlantic Conference Golfer of the Year entered the hall of fame with a career scoring average of 76.67 over 77.5 rounds played with a career win-loss record of 2226-322 (.874). McGee won seven events and finished in the top-10 in 43-of-54 tournaments while adding 30 top-5 finishes.

At the time of his induction, the four-time all-conference first team honoree ranked among the program’s top-10 career leaders in scoring average (third), individual tournament victories (seventh), top-5 finishes (second), top-10 finishes (first), par or better rounds (five, tied for fifth), rounds played (second), overall wins (first) and winning percentage (fourth). He also held the single-season record for overall wins (658 in 2005-2006).

McGee’s 2005-2006 senior season was by far his most successful individual year, as he earned a spot on the Golf Coaches Association of America All-Northeast Regional First Team and won the Guy Tedesco Award from the New England Intercollegiate Golf Coaches Association for displaying the qualities of unselfish leadership, outstanding talent, the love for golf, and willingness to promote positive aspects to others. He was also the 2005-2006 New England division III medalist.

The 2002-2003 Sunrise Conference Rookie of the Year helped lead the Braves to a 90-27 record, including a 84-5 mark in the Fall that helped propel Husson to a top-25 ranking in the program’s final season as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, reaching as high as No. 20.

He was also a three-time State of Maine Intercollegiate All-State Golfer while earning All-New England honors twice.

Additionally, McGee was the first golfer in program and NAC history to earn NAC golfer of the year twice and in back-to-back years.

During his four-year career, McGee helped Husson post an overall record 409-78 (.840) with one Sunrise championship, two NAC championships, three State of Maine Intercollegiate Championships, three NEIGA division III championships and one trip to the NAIA national tournament in 2002-2003.

McGee earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in sports management from Husson in 2006.

A native of Fairfield, Maine, McGee attended Lawrence High School.
