Mike McCaffrey '99 was a four-year letterwinner as a shooting guard for the Braves, playing for hall of fame member Warren Caruso '89, '08G, '18G from 1996-1999 and one of the best 3-point shooters in program history.

He tallied 1,346 points, 254 rebounds, 254 assists, 106 steals and 14 blocks, while shooting  38.2 percent (440-1152) from the floor, 37.9 percent (239-630) from behind the  3-point arc and 74.0 percent (227-307) from the free throw line in 121 career games. McCaffrey averaged 11.1 points and 2.1 assists per game in his career. 

The 1998 All-Maine Athletic Conference selection entered the hall of fame ranked among the program's top-25 career leaders in points (14th), field goals attempted (14th), 3-point field goals made (third), three-point field goals attempted (third), 3-point field goal percentage (eighth), free throws made (tied for 22nd), assists (tied for 17th) assists average (tied for 24th), steals (23rd) and games played (eighth).

The two-time captain helped guide the Braves to two MAC championships and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championship berths in 1997 and 1999 as well as two MAC regular-season titles in 1998 and 1999 and a MAC runner-up finish in 1998.

As a sophomore, McCaffrey helped the Braves earn a 73-72 upset victory over National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I member, the University of Maine, on the Black Bears' home court inside the Harold Alfond Arena. 

Off the court, McCaffrey was named a NAIA academic All-American in 1999, becoming the first player in program history to achieve this honor.

McCaffrey earned a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Husson in 1999.

A native of Glassboro, New Jersey, McCaffrey attended Gloucester Catholic High School.
