Nichole Sargent was a standout pitcher for the Husson University softball program from 2008-2010 and 2012 for hall of fame coach Amanda Bourgoin.
A three-time North Atlantic Conference All-Conference selection, Sargent helped lead the Eagles to NAC championships in 2009, 2010 and 2012 along with three NCAA Tournament appearances in those same seasons.
A two-way player for the Eagles, Sargent batted .292 for her career with 93 hits, 20 doubles, nine home runs and 72 RBIs. At the time of her induction, Sargent ranked fourth all-time with a .984 fielding percentage and 11th in career home runs.
In the circle, Sargent compiled a 26-14 record with a 3.61 ERA in 228.2 innings pitched. She recorded 143 strikeouts in 54 appearances, while tallying 41 starts, 15 complete games and seven shutouts.
At the time of her induction, she ranked ninth all-time with 4.38 strikeouts per seven innings, 11th in career wins, 13th in ERA and 12th in innings pitched for her career.
The two-time NAC all-tournament team selection was crowned the 2009 NAC tournament most valuable player.
Sargent earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in hospitality and tourism management and a Master of Business Administration from Husson in 2013.
A native of Sullivan, Maine, Sargent attended Sumner Memorial High School.
