Husson University

Rachel E. Oxley attended Searsmont High School. She graduated from Husson in 1959. She was inducted into the Husson Sports Hall of Fame in 1993. At Husson Rachel studied Medical Secretarial, while playing basketball for two years.

Playing in the forward position Rachel was an excellent rebounder. In her first season in 1958 she scored 149 points only to better that in 1959 with 165 points. She was the recipient of the Women’s Athletic Association Sportsmanship Award.

Along with athletics Rachel was an active member of campus as she was part of Delta Sigma Delta for two years.
