Betsy Margeson Dicapua was a four-year letterwinner as a guard on the Husson women’s basketball team (1978-81).
Margeson Dicapua ranks third, fourth, and 18th on the single-season program scoring average (18.8, 18.7, and 15.4). In career program marks, she ranks second all-time in scoring average (16.0). Margeson Dicapua finished her career with 979 points (23rd all-time).
Starting 61 games in her career, she helped her squads win 38 games over four years. Head Coach Pam Hennessey was at the helm for all four of Margeson Dicapua’s seasons.
The guard was named All-State in the 1981 season.
Margeson Dicapua earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Husson in 1981.
Betsy Margeson Dicapua currently resides in Wells, Maine, with her husband, Samuel, and two children, Caitlin and Brittany. Margeson Dicapua is currently a manager at a medical office.
