Leslie Trott '02 was a standout student-athlete at Husson, earning six varsity letters in three sports from 1999-2002. Trott played one season of soccer in 1999 for hall of fame member Keith Bosley and one season of softball in 2000 for coach Randy Dodge '02, but her true passion was on the Braves' hardwood where she starred for hall of fame member Kissy Walker '03G for three seasons and Harold Williams for one season.
On the hardwood, Trott registered 1,030 points, 632 rebounds, 332 steals, 169 assists, and 79 blocks in 102 career contests. She averaged 10.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 steals, 1.7 assists, and 0.8 blocks per game, while shooting 33.5 percent (412-1229) from the floor, 24.0 percent (56-233) from the 3-point line, and 59.5 percent (150-252) from the free throw line.
At the time of her induction, the pesty guard ranked second in career steals and steals average; tied for ninth in rebounds and blocked shots; 13th in blocked shots average; 14th in rebounding average; 15th in field goals made; 20th in 3-point field goals made; tied for 20th in points and 22nd in 3-point field goal percentage. She also held the second best single-season steals average achieving a 4.3 in 2001 and the program's single-game record for steals with nine vs. Bay Path in 2001.
Trott was one of six players in program history who had tallied 1,000 or more points, 500 or more rebounds, and 150 or more steals and assists.
She ended her career as a two-time All-Maine Athletic Conference Second Team selection and was selected to the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Rookie Team in 1999.
The senior captain guided the Braves to one MAC championship in 1999 which included a berth into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics National Championship, a MAC regular-season title in 2000 - that featured the program's first unblemished conference record since the 1992 season - and two MAC runner-up finishes in 2000 and 2001.
On the pitch, Trott tallied three goals with one assist for seven total points in 18 career games played.
On the diamond, she hit .215 (17-79) with three doubles, 14 runs, 11 RBI, 11 walks and eight stolen bases in 25 contests.
Trott earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Husson in 2002.
She will now join her father, Dick Trott '65, who was inducted into the Husson University Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2006, as the first father and daughter members of the hall of fame.
A native of Brewer, Maine, Trott attended Brewer High School.
