BANGOR, Maine — Husson University Women's Volleyball program, announced the commitment of pin hitter, Lilly Andreasen, a standout volleyball athlete from Southern Maine Community College.

Andreasen brings a tradition of winning and academic excellence to the Eagles. During her time with the SMCC Seawolves, she helped lead the women's volleyball team back-to-back Yankee Small Conference College Championships, helping her team earn the 6 th seed overall in the 2025 USCAA Division II National Tournament while competing in every set, averaging 2.86 kills/game and 2.8 digs/set as a sophomore.

A two-year starter for the women's volleyball program, Andreasen earned USCAA Honorable Mention and YSCC Honorable Mentions while competing for the Seawolves. For her efforts in the classroom, Andreasen earned USCAA National All-Academic honors while being named to the Dean's List all four semesters at SMCC. A standout at Gorham High School, Andreasen helped lead the Rams to consecutive Maine Class A State Championships as a junior and senior. Andreasen played club volleyball for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) under Head Coach Garrett Lewellen for two years.

Medley on Andreasen:
"We are thrilled about Lilly's decision to commit to Husson University and our volleyball program," said Head Women's Volleyball Coach Sue Medley. "She is a proven winner, knows what it takes to lead and compete at championship levels and is a driven individual with great personal character. She will have an immediate impact on our program."

Andreasen on choosing Husson:
"Volleyball has been one of the most influential parts of my life, teaching me discipline, perseverance, and the value of working toward long-term goals. Additionally, I have always valued education and at SMCC, I developed strong study habits, independence, and an appreciation for my education. Volleyball has also played an important role in my growth, teaching me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance both on and off the court. As I begin my education at Husson and pursue a degree in Graphic and Visual Design, I am excited for the opportunity to continue competing in volleyball. I look forward to contributing to the Husson community as a dedicated student-athlete committed to success in both the classroom and competition. I want to thank my parents for always supporting me and pushing me to be my best. I want to thank Coach Lewellen, who has been my coach for the past five years. He has been more of a mentor than a coach, pushing me to be a better player, teammate, and person altogether. Finally, I want to thank Coach Medley and the Husson athletics program for giving me this opportunity to continue playing for the rest of my academic career."
