BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University women's volleyball program is excited to announce the commitment of middle blocker Autumn Peterson, a standout three-sport athlete from Central Maine Community College.

Peterson brings a championship pedigree and impressive multi-sport résumé to the Eagles. During her time at Central Maine CC, she helped lead the women's basketball team to the USCAA  Division II Women's Basketball National Championship during her sophomore season. A two-year starter for the women's volleyball program, Peterson was an integral component of a team that posted back-to-back winning seasons. At CMCC she earned USCAA All-Academic honors in volleyball, basketball, and softball. A native of Downeast Maine, Peterson made her mark in volleyball at Narraguagus High School, earning Maine Class C Volleyball Player of the Year as a senior while leading her team to the state championship title.

Peterson on choosing Husson:
"I chose Husson University because of the warm welcome I got from the team and Coach Medley when I visited. I'm beyond excited for my future at Husson University!  I plan to major in Forensic Science and was impressed with the program and have heard nothing but great things about it. I want to thank Coach Medley for giving me the opportunity to continue my athletic career, and I want to thank my parents for their never-ending support — I would not be where I am or who I am without them."
