BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team has revealed the commitment of Avery Danis to its 2026 recruiting class.

Danis joins Husson from Woodstock, Connecticut, where she currently attends The Woodstock Academy.

A midfielder for Woodstock and a captain this season, Danis also plays club soccer for NECT Rush.

"I chose Husson because it checked all my boxes," Danis admitted. "Husson allows me to study something that I have always dreamed of while getting the opportunity to continue to play soccer. When I visited, everyone was so welcoming. I could not see myself anywhere else."

Off the pitch, Danis is a member of the National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Scholar-Athlete Honor Society and is the President of the Latin Honor Society.

"I want to thank all of my family, friends, and coaches who have supported me along the way and I cannot wait to start this new chapter of my life!"

While at Husson, Danis plans to study exercise science/doctor of physical therapy.
