BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team has announced the commitment of Sydney Moon to the program's 2026 recruiting class.
Moon comes to Bangor from St. Johns, Michigan, where she attends St. Johns High School.
In addition to playing high school soccer for St. Johns, Moon plays club soccer for Nationals ECNL-RL as a forward.
Moon is coming off of a first team selection in both all-conference and all-district last season, in addition to earning a spot on the Lansing All-Area Team, while earning honorable mention selections for the conference and district the prior season.
"I decided to go to Husson because I truly fell in love with the academic opportunities that I was presented with in the criminal justice field, along with how amazing the team was and the chemistry they have together," said Moon.
Off the field, Moon was an all-academic team member the past two seasons and is a member of the National Technical Honors Society.
"I want to thank my parents for supporting me in this huge decision and for being there for me every step of the way," Moon added. "I also want to thank everyone from my very first soccer coach to my high school and club coaches for always pushing me to be better and making me the player I am today!"
While attending Husson, Moon plans to study both criminal justice and psychology.
