Nault, Pangburn headline women’s soccer postseason awards

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference released its postseason awards for women's soccer on Tuesday and Husson University women's soccer earned three major awards and nine all-conference selections.

Senior Caley Nault was named the conference's defensive player of the year for a second-consecutive year, in addition to the third time in her four years as an Eagle, while also earning her fourth-straight first team all-conference selection. Nault appeared in 18 of Husson's 19 games, making 15 starts, while also finishing second on the team with 1,232 minutes played. Nault once again proved why she is the backbone of the Husson defense, showcasing her elite soccer IQ at centerback for the Eagles.

Additionally for Nault, she was crowned senior scholar athlete for the NAC. In her fourth year at Husson University and enrolled in the demanding Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, Nault represents the highest standard of academic and athletic excellence. She maintains a remarkable 3.93 GPA while balancing clinical coursework, labs, and a full competitive season—an achievement that speaks to her discipline, maturity, and work ethic.

Nault's impact extends well beyond athletics. She is an active member of the OT/PT Student Club, works in a physical therapy clinic during her academic off-hours, and volunteers extensively in the greater Bangor community. She serves as a coach for the Fighting Eagles Boxing Club, working directly with individuals living with Parkinson's disease to improve mobility, balance, and quality of life. Additionally, she contributes her time to the Special Olympics, and is a founding volunteer in Husson's "Beyond the Game" initiative—an emerging program that connects student-athletes with the neurodivergent community through inclusive, relationship-based activities.

Freshman Jaquie Pangburn was voted rookie of the year and a first team all-conference honoree at forward for the Eagles. Pangburn registered a co-team high 11 goals for the season, in addition to three assists in 18 games played. Pangburn totaled three two-goal games and recorded four game-winning goals during the season, while being named NAC rookie of the week three times and NAC player of the week once during the season.

Sophomore Hailey Tarbox was the final first team selection for the Eagles as a midfielder, appearing in all 19 games during the season for Husson, making 14 starts. Tarbox finished third on the team with seven goals, while also adding four assists in her second year with the program.

Senior Addi Laslie was selected to the all-conference second team following her final season in the green and gold. Laslie matched Pangburn's team-high of 11 goals, while also dishing out four helpers, as she appeared in all 19 games for Husson, making 14 starts. Laslie recorded three game-winning goals for the Eagles and was named NAC player of the week once during the season.

Sophomore Paige Dunn picked up a second team all-conference selection as a midfielder after a strong return to the program this season. Dunn played in all 19 games for Husson, making 15 starts, posting four goals and four assists in her return to Bangor, while also adding one game-winning tally.

Junior defender Rylee Speed was the last second team honoree for the Eagles after playing in all 19 games, while making 16 starts. Speed showcased her ability to play both offense and defense as a wingback for the Eagles, tallying one goal, but finishing in a three-way tie with seven assists for the team lead, in addition to being tied for third in the conference.

Senior Devon St. Louis was named to the all-conference third team as a forward, as she made an appearance in all 19 of Husson's games, making 14 starts. St. Louis finished with five goals on the season, including two game-winning goals, while also matching Speed for the team lead with seven assists. St. Louis was named NAC co-player of the week once during the regular season en route to earning her first all-conference nod.

Junior Emma Nicholson was tabbed as a third team honor as a defender, following her first year as an Eagle where she played in 15 games, making 13 starts. Nicholson tallied two goals, including one game-winning goal, but was a lockdown defender at centerback for the Eagles, pairing well with Nault to create arguably the best defensive duo in the conference, as Nicholson possesses the speed, physicality and even more intangibles to make her an all-conference defender.

Freshman Thea Gerfen was the final all-conference honoree for the Eagles as a third team defender. Gerfen took the league by storm in her first year with the program as a wingback, posting seven assists to tie Speed and St. Louis atop the team leaderboard. Gerfen utilized dazzling footwork and elite speed on the left side of the field to provide Husson with both a lethal offensive presence, while also maintaining the ability to defend the counterattack. Gerfen was also named to the conference's sportsmanship team.
