BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team has announced the commitment of Nola Bryant to its 2026 recruiting class.
Bryant comes to Husson from Windham, Maine, where she played and started all four years for Windham High School and tallied one goal and four assists during her senior year.
An outside back, Bryant currently plays club soccer for Maine Lightning Soccer Club, after previously having suited up for Rosevelt Soccer Club and played a collective nine years of club soccer in her career where she has won three league championships.
At Windham, Bryant was an all-conference second team member during her senior year, in addition to an honorable mention player, while also earning rookie of the year and defensive player of the year in her career.
"I chose Husson because of its reputation for its excellent nursing program and strong support for student-athletes," said Bryant. "Being on a smaller campus means I can compete in the sport I love while also staying focused on academics. Soccer has taught me teamwork, commitment, and how to handle pressure—all skills that I know will be valuable in the nursing field. I'm excited to grow both on the field and in the classroom, surrounded by a close-knit community that pushes me to do my best. I believe that this environment will not only help me reach my goals but also shape me into a compassionate and well-rounded healthcare professional."
Off the field, Bryant has earned both high honor and honor roll, while also being a member of the conference all-academic team, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
Additionally at Windham, Bryant is a member of the varsity softball team, where she has been a part of two state championships and the 2024 Varsity Maine Team of the Year.
"I would like to thank my mom, dad, and sister, along with the rest of my family, for the endless support, as well as several coaches who have helped me along the way," Bryant concluded. "A special thank you to my coach, Stephanie Harvie. I couldn't have done this without you, and thanks to all my coaches at Windham soccer/softball and Maine Thunder. Also, thank you to all my friends for being my biggest cheerleaders."
While at Husson, Bryant will be studying nursing.
