Women’s basketball unveils 2025-26 schedule

| By:

BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University women's basketball team, led by head coach Kissy Walker, has announced its 2025-26 schedule — featuring a competitive slate of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matchups, in-state rivalries, and a midseason trip to Massachusetts for the Smith College Tournament.

"With 3 NESCAC schools and a tournament at Smith College, the National Runner-up, our schedule outside of conference certainly will be challenging," said Walker.

The Eagles tip off the new campaign at home on Saturday, Nov. 15, hosting Saint Joseph's College of Maine at William P. Newman Gymnasium. Husson remains in Bangor for a Nov. 18 matchup against Bates College, before opening conference play with back-to-back road contests at Thomas College (Nov. 21) and Lesley University (Nov. 22).

The Eagles return home in early December to host UMaine–Fort Kent (Dec. 2), followed by their NAC home opener against UMaine–Presque Isle (Dec. 6). The first semester concludes with a road trip to UMaine–Farmington (Dec. 13) and then a two-day appearance at the Smith College Tournament, where Husson will face Smith College (Dec. 30) before matching up against St. John Fisher University (Dec. 31) in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Conference play resumes in January as the Eagles host a four-game homestand featuring SUNY Delhi (Jan. 5), SUNY Cobleskill (Jan. 6), Thomas College (Jan. 16), and Lesley University (Jan. 17). Non-conference action includes home meetings with Colby College (Jan. 14) and Bowdoin College (Jan. 20) — two familiar Maine rivals.

Husson will also welcome UMaine–Farmington (Jan. 23) and Maine Maritime Academy (Jan. 24) to close out an eight-game stretch in Bangor before traveling to UMaine–Presque Isle (Jan. 31). The Eagles then head to New York for key NAC contests at SUNY Cobleskill (Feb. 6) and SUNY Delhi (Feb. 7), followed by a midweek trip to Maine Maritime Academy (Feb. 10).

The regular season concludes at home with matchups against Vermont State University Lyndon (Feb. 13) and Vermont State University Johnson (Feb. 14) — the latter serving as Senior Day at Newman Gymnasium.

The 2025-26 NAC Tournament will begin the following week, with seeding and game times to be determined.
