BANGOR, Maine – Bangor High School's Dalaney Horr, a 5'8 guard who has developed into one of the area's most complete players will continue her basketball journey close to home at Husson University.
Dalaney has committed to join the Eagles women's basketball program for the 2026-2027 season.
A versatile and athletic guard, Horr averaged 8.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for Bangor in Class AA North play, while leading the conference in steals at 3.2 per game. Her defensive intensity and all-around impact have earned her selections to the Class AA North All-Rookie Team (2024) and the All- Defensive Team (2025).
Bangor Head Coach Kristen Hermanson praised Horr's commitment and growth: "I am very happy for Dalaney to be playing for Husson next year. Dalaney is a hardworking, driven athlete that takes pride in her defense. It's been great to see her all-around game develop over the years as a defender, scorer, and leader for Bangor High School."
Dalaney was also recognized at the Big Time Hoops All-Star Camp (Honor Roll Team) and the Summer Slam 25' Team, In addition to basketball, she was part of the 2025 State Championship Soccer Team at Bangor High School and competes with Maine React under coach Chris Cameron on the AAU circuit.
"Dalaney's all round game just keeps getting better and better," said head women's basketball coach Kissy Walker. "She brings a spark on defense and is capable of hitting shots on the perimeter. Her all-around game will be a nice fit with our culture and we are excited to add Dalaney to our roster."
Off the court, Dalaney is involved in the school community participating as a member of Subdeb.
While at Husson, Horr plans to study pre-law.
Dalaney is the 3rd commitment for the Eagles for the class of 26, joining Addison Cyr from Mattanawcook Academy and Bangor teammate, Avery Clark.
