BANGOR, Maine – Husson University Women's Basketball Head Coach Kissy Walker is pleased to announce the commitment of Addison Cyr to the program's 2026 recruiting class.
A 6'1" post player from Mattanawcook Academy in Lincoln, Maine, Cyr will join the Eagles for the 2026–27 season, bringing size and skill to Husson's frontcourt.
Cyr has been a standout at Mattanawcook, where she led the Lynx to the 2025 Class C Northern Maine Runner-Up title under head coach Pat House. She is a three-time First Team Penobscot Valley Conference All-Conference selection, the 2025 Conference Player of the Year and was named to both the Bangor Daily News All-State Second Team and the BDN All-Tournament Team
"Addison is an incredible young woman whose dominance on the court matches the quality of person and teammate she has been in our Lady Lynx program," House said. "Her commitment to developing her skills and her competitive drive will undoubtedly lead to success at the next level."
Cyr's production speaks for itself, as she averaged 21.8 points and 13.1 rebounds per game during her junior season and reached the 1,000-point career milestone as a junior. In the off-season, Addi has worked at her game playing with Maine React AAU Basketball under coaches Liza Muth, Chris Cameron and Chad Labree.
"Addison is a terrific addition to our program," said Walker. "I have known Addi for a long time as she attended our Eagles summer camp as a youngster and her mom played for me. "We are super excited for her to join us. She is one of the top post players in the state. She is a strong, versatile post player who knows how to score and rebound.
Cyr is also a multi-sport athlete, competing in soccer and softball, and is a standout in the classroom as Vice President of the National Honor Society and President of Student Council.
Cyr plans to study accounting while attending Husson.
