Box Score WATERVILLE, ME – Three different players each scored a goal and Husson improved to 2-0 in the North Atlantic Conference with a 3-0 women's soccer win at Thomas College at Smith Field Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 3-2-1 overall, while the Terriers are 1-1 in the NAC and 1-4 for the season.
The Eagles dominated the contest by outshooting the Terriers, 31-1, including 19-1 in the first half. The shots on goal were 20-1. Husson also had all eight corner kicks in the contest.
Husson junior Camryn Rolfe scored her second of the season to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead at 24:19. Just three minutes and four seconds later, Husson was up 2-0. Junior Willow Whitten fed senior Shannon Dowd, who notched her first score of the season at 27:23.
The Eagles scored what would turn out to be the final goal of the game, at 68:41. First year Natalie Aviolla scored her team-best fourth goal of the fall at 68:41 on a pass from Sophia Mullins who recorded her conference leading third assist of the season.
Madison Rock made 10 saves in just over 45 minutes of play for the Terriers, and Lauren Bartlett stopped seven in 44:30.
Hannah Kenney got her second win and second shutout and made one stop.
Aviolia had a game-high 11 shots for Husson, including six on the net. First year Molly Ennis had four shots for the Eagles.
Husson, which is now 2-0-1 in the last three games, travel to New York for back-to-back meetings with schools in the NAC West Divison. First, they will visit SUNY Poly on Saturday, November 25th, with kickoff at 1 p.m.
