WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference released its preseason poll results for women's soccer on Wednesday and the Husson University women's soccer team was chosen second.
The Eagles totaled 54 points and two of the eight first-place votes to finish second in the poll, trailing only the defending conference champions, Lesley University, who posted 61 points and five first-place votes.
Maine Maritime Academy was chosen third with 52 points and the remaining first-place tally, while Vermont State University Johnson and the University of Maine at Farmington tied for fourth place with 36 points apiece.
Thomas College (24), the University of Maine-Presque Isle (17) and Vermont State University Lyndon (8) rounded out the rankings.
The Eagles open their 2026 season on Sept. 4 when they head to Saint Joseph's College of Maine for a 6 p.m. contest.
