BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's soccer team has announced the commitment of Cruz Coffin from Otis, Maine.
A forward, Coffin has competed with the Maine Olympic Development Program (ODP) and River City Maine State Premier League. He was named the Class B High School Player of the Year in both 2023 and 2024 and helped his team capture the 2024 Maine State Premier Championship.
In the classroom, Coffin has excelled academically. He finished among the top 10 students in his high school class, earned the Engineering Award of Excellence, maintained a 4.0 GPA in college, and received Highest Honors throughout both high school and college.
"I am excited to announce my commitment to Husson," said Coffin. "I can't wait to start working with the team, meet all my new teammates and coaches. Continuing my education with the marketing program at Husson is a great opportunity that will get me on the right track for my professional career. I am thrilled to begin this new chapter."
Coffin also expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his soccer journey.
"Thank you to my family who have supported me throughout my soccer journey, especially my parents," he said. "Also a big thank you to all of my coaches and teammates who have got me here."
