WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference released its prechampionship poll results for men's track & field on Thursday and the Husson University men's track & field team was picked third.

The University of Maine at Farmington just edged out Thomas College for first-place in the poll, as the Beavers gathered 33 total points and four of the six first-place votes, while the Terriers finished with 32 points and the other two first-place tallies.

Husson was tabbed third with 25 points, while the University of Maine-Presque Isle was selected to finish fourth with 17 points.

Lesley University and Vermont State University Johnson rounded out the six-team field with 10 and nine points respectively.

Husson will look to capture its first conference title since 2018 when action gets going on Saturday with pole vault, high jump and hammer throw, before all other events take place on Sunday at the University of Maine at Orono.
