WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Husson University women's golf team completed the final round at the Trinity Bantams/Hartford Hawks Women's Spring Invitational at Rockledge Golf Club, finishing fifth overall with a two-day total of 731 (368-363).
The Eagles showed improvement on Sunday, shaving five strokes off their opening-round score to move up one spot in the team standings.
Individually, senior Caitlyn Chabot led the way for Husson with a strong performance, finishing 14th overall with a two-day score of +32. Chabot carded rounds of +19 on Saturday and improved to +13 in Sunday's final round, highlighting one of the top individual finishes of the weekend for the Eagles.
Senior Allie Weinert also delivered a solid showing, placing tied for 18th with a total of +38 (20, 18). Weinert improved in the second round as well, helping fuel Husson's team score drop on Sunday.
Freshman Abigail Theriault added a 26th-place finish with a +42 (18, 24), while freshman Caroline Chausse followed closely behind in 27th at +43 (23, 20). Rounding out the Husson lineup was freshman Riley Fyfe, who finished 35th overall with a +67 (35, 32) and also posted a lower score in the final round.
Host Trinity College captured the team title behind medalist CC Kaplan, who finished at +5 for the tournament. Bentley University placed second, followed by University of Hartford in third.
Husson will look to build towards next season, as the 2025-26 season has come to an end for the Eagles.
