BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team has announced the commitment of Madison Stewart to its 2026 recruiting class.
Stewart joins Husson from Hermon, Maine, where she attended Hermon High School and played four years of varsity soccer for the Hawks.
In addition to playing for Hermon, Stewart also played club soccer for Seacoast United in the Development Player League for three years.
As a forward for Hermon High, Stewart ends her career with the Hawks as the school's all-time goal and assist leader, in addition to being a PVC All-Conference First Team selection all four years of her career.
A United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection this past season and the Hermon Offensive Player of the Year, Stewart recorded 114 goals and 61 assists for the Hawks, as the team captured Northern Maine Class B Regional Championships in 2022, 2024 and 2025, in addition to compiling a 61-9-1 record over Stewart's four years.
"I chose Husson because it offers a top-tier business administration program and a championship culture that will push me to be my best," said Stewart.
Off the field, Stewart was a PVC All-Academic honoree this past fall, in addition to being an honor roll student and a member of the National Technical Honor Society.
"I couldn't have achieved this without my parents," said Stewart. "Thank you for driving me, pushing me, and cheering the loudest at every single game! I wouldn't be the player I am today without them. Thank you to all the coaches and others who have been a positive help to me throughout this process. It's been a long time coming."
While at Husson, Stewart plans to study business administration and obtain her MBA.
