FARMINGTON, Maine – The Maine College Baseball and Softball Association unveiled its weekly award winners for softball on Tuesday and Husson University softball junior Ana Lang was selected as pitcher of the week.

Lang picked up her second pitcher of the week award for both the North Atlantic Conference and the MCBSA after hurling 24.1 innings in four starts and five total appearances, while posting a 4-1 record. Lang totaled 42 strikeouts on the week, while allowing just three earned runs on 13 hits and four walks. The veteran pitcher posted back-to-back hitless outings to end the week against Vermont State University Johnson and Vermont State University Lyndon, where she pitched three innings in both games and struck out eight batters in each outing.

The Eagles, who are ranked No. 21 in the latest NFCA/GoRout Division III Top 25, return to action today at the University of New England for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
