JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – The Husson University women's golf team closed out play at the 4th Camp Lejeune Women's Intercollegiate on Sunday with a ninth-place finish, posting a three-round total of 1,070 (+218) at the Paradise Point Scarlet Course.
Husson wrapped up the tournament with a 355 (+71) in the final round, showing steady play across the lineup to cap the weekend. After opening with a 364 on Friday, the Eagles made a notable improvement in round two with a 351 before turning in a consistent effort in Sunday's closing round.
Senior Caitlyn Chabot led the way for Husson, finishing tied for 35th overall with a three-round total of 260 (+47). Chabot improved in each round of the tournament, including a final-round 85 that highlighted her steady progression over the weekend.
Freshman Caroline Chausse also turned in a solid performance, finishing 41st overall at 267 (+54). Chausse posted her best round on Saturday with an 84 before closing with an 88 in the third round.
Senior Allie Weinert finished at 270 (+57), carding rounds of 90, 91, and 89, while freshman Abigail Theriault totaled 273 (+60) over three rounds. Rounding out the Husson lineup, freshman Riley Fyfe recorded a 314 (+101), including a 100 in the final round.
Pfeiffer University's Kirstyn Page earned medalist honors with a three-round total of 217 (+4), including a final-round 70, while Oglethorpe University captured the team title at 913 (+61).
Husson concludes its 2025-26 season on Saturday and Sunday of this coming weekend when it heads to West Hartford, Connecticut to compete in the Trinity/Hartford Spring Invitational at the Rockledge Golf Course.
