Women’s golf continues play at Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – The Husson University women's golf team continued competition at the 4th Camp Lejeune Women's Intercollegiate on Saturday, completing the second round at the Paradise Point Scarlet Course.

Husson showed improvement in round two, posting a team score of 351 (+67), a 13-stroke improvement from its opening-round 364. The Eagles sit in ninth place overall with a two-day total of 715 (+173) heading into Sunday's final round.

Senior Caitlyn Chabot led the way for Husson in the second round, carding an 86 (+15) to move into 37th place overall at +39 through 36 holes.

Freshman Caroline Chausse delivered one of the team's biggest improvements on the day, shaving 11 strokes off her opening round with an 84 (+13) in round two. She is currently tied for 40th overall at +43.

Freshman Abigail Theriault recorded a 90 (+19) in the second round and sits 43rd overall at +44, while senior Allie Weinert finished with a 91 (+20) and is tied for 44th overall at +47.

Freshman Riley Fyfe rounded out the Husson lineup with a 103 (+32) in round two and is 55th overall at +85.

At the top of the leaderboard, Virginia Wesleyan's Juliette Coffey holds the individual lead at +2, while Oglethorpe University leads the team standings at +48 through two rounds.

Husson will look to build on its improved second-round performance and close out the tournament strong in Sunday's final round at Paradise Point.
