WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference named its first weekly award winners of the year for track & field and Husson University men's track & field freshman Gabriel Fairbrother was selected as rookie of the week.
Fairbrother's weekend at the Yellow Jacket Open was highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the javelin throw with a distance of 47.61, which set a new personal-best in the event. Additionally, Fairbrother competed in the 100 meters, clocking a 13.02.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday for the Black Bear Meet at the University of Maine at the New Balance Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
