WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference announced the final standings for men's basketball on Saturday evening after the season concluded earlier in the day and the Husson University men's basketball team finished in second-place.
UMaine Farmington finished the regular season with a near perfect 17-1 conference record (20-5 overall) to claim the top spot and joining them in the six-team tournament are #2 Husson. The Eagles enter with an 15-3 record in conference play (16-9 overall). The two will each host a semifinal match on Sunday, February 22.
UMaine-Presque Isle and Maine Maritime Academy are tied with an 11-7 NAC conference record. Following the conference championship tiebreaking procedures, the team with the higher NPI ranking will earn the No. 3 seed once the NCAA releases updated rankings on Monday. Both teams will host first-round contests on February 19. The tournament bracket will be finalized after the updated NPI rankings are released Monday morning.
SUNY Cobleskill and Thomas College are also tied with a 10-8 conference record. SUNY Cobleskill holds the tiebreaker over Thomas and will be the No. 5 seed, with Thomas earning the No. 6 seed. Both will travel to play in the first round of the tournament.
The 2026 NAC Men's Basketball Tournament kicks off Thursday, February 19 with first-round matches. Semifinal matches will be on Sunday, February 22 with the NAC Championship the following weekend on Saturday, February 28 at the highest remaining seed. Game times will be confirmed this Monday.
The winner of the 2026 NAC Championship will secure the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA DIII Men's Basketball Tournament, set to begin on Friday, March 6. The complete NCAA Tournament bracket will be unveiled during a live selection show on NCAA.com on Monday, March 2.
