Men’s track & field wraps up January with Husky Invitational

GORHAM, Maine – The Husson University men's track & field team headed down to Gorham on Saturday for the Husky Invitational, hosted by the University of Southern Maine.

Junior Thomas Hinton led the way on the track, placing fifth in the 600 meters with a time of 1:38.82 to score four points for the Eagles. Right behind him, graduate student Richard Cromwell added to Husson's total with a sixth-place finish in 1:41.59, earning three points.

In the field, junior Mykal Roberson provided another scoring effort for Husson, taking sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.75 meters, good for three points. Roberson also chipped in additional points with a seventh-place finish in the triple jump, posting a mark of 11.43 meters to score two more points.

Sophomore Ian Cottrell concluded the scoring for Husson in the pole vault with a seventh-place finish, clearing a height of 2.80 meters.

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday when they head to Bates College for the State of Maine Intercollegiate Indoor Track & Field Championships.
