KEENE, N.H. – The Husson University women's golf team brought home a third-place finish on Sunday at the Keene State Invitational, which was hosted by Keene State College at the Keene Country Club.
Suffolk University blew away the field with a combined score of 332, winning the tournament by 41 strokes, while Husson scored a 383 as a unit to place third.
Freshman Abigail Theriault led the way for Husson individually, tallying an 18-over par, 90, to finish in fifth-place, while senior Allie Weinert wasn't far behind after firing a 19-over, 91, to finish in seventh.
Freshman Caroline Chausse recorded a 26-over par, 98, to place 12th, while senior Caitlyn Chabot rounded out the field of scoring players for Husson with a 32-over, 104, to finish 16th.
Freshman Riley Fyfe also took-part in the event and posted a 40-over par, 112.
The Eagles return to action on Oct. 11 for the two-day Polar Bear Shootout at the Brunswick Golf Club.
