CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine – The Husson University women's golf team competed in the Seawolf Shootout on Friday at the Val Halla Golf Club in Cape Elizabeth.
The hosts of Southern Maine Community College took first-place in the event with a three-person score of 242, while Husson took third-place with a combined score of 269.
Senior Caitlyn Chabot was the top individual finisher for the Eagles with a 16-over par, 88, to finish in sixth, while classmate Allie Weinert was one spot behind with an 18-over par, 90.
Freshman Abigail Theriault rounded-out the team score for the Eagles with a 19-over, 91.
Additionally for Husson, freshmen Caroline Chausse and Riley Fyfe took part in the event and scored a 95 and 101 respectively.
The Eagles return to the course on Sunday when they head to New Hampshire for the Keene State Invitational at the Keene Country Club.
