BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's tennis team is looking to reclaim its place atop the North Atlantic Conference with the release of its 2025 schedule.
The Eagles finished 7-3 last year, including 4-1 in the NAC, before defeating SUNY Delhi in the conference semifinals, but ultimately were defeated by Lesley University in a hard-fought championship.
"We are looking forward to a competitive and fun season this year and are excited to see our conference expanding with the addition of Simmons University, whom we've enjoyed playing non-conference matches with in the past," said Head Women's Tennis Coach Josh Warren. "The women's tennis team is motivated and it is a true privilege to coach such a thoughtful and kind group."
Husson opens its schedule with a rematch against Lesley on Sept. 13, before turning around the next day for a doubleheader against Simmons and the University of Southern Maine.
The Eagles will then take a trip to Vermont the following weekend for a doubleheader with Vermont State University Lyndon on Sept. 20. One of those games will be a non-conference contest. Then they will battle Vermont State University Johnson the next day in a conference matchup.
Husson will return home for a midweek conference clash against Thomas College on Sept. 24, before closing its conference slate with a home matchup against Delhi on Sept. 28.
The Eagles will put the finishing touches on their home schedule on Oct. 3 when they welcome the University of New England, before ending the regular season with a road, non-conference match with Thomas.
The NAC playoffs begin on Oct. 11 with the semifinals between teams seeded one, two, three and four, before the championship takes place on Oct. 12 with all matches taking place at Apex Racket and Fitness in Portland.
