STANDISH, Maine — The Husson University men's track & field team returned to competition on Friday competing in the Monk's Track & Field Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
Freshman
Matthew Scamman opened the Eagles day with a personal-best performance in the 100 meter dash, clocking a time of 11.83.
Sophomore
Carmy Kaniki clocked a PR in the 200-meter dash, posting a 24.02 to finish eighth overall.
Senior
David Hileman ran to a fifth-place finish in the 1,500 meters, clocking a time of 4:28.15.
In the 110-meter hurdles, sophomore
Mykal Roberson finished fifth overall with a time of 18.56, while Scamman added a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.04.
Sophomore
Micah Bryan posted a time of 11:39.77 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to finish fourth overall.
The Eagles 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Shance Conti, Roberson, Kaniki and Scamman finished fifth with a mark of 46.64.
Junior
Colin Simpson cleared 6.28 meters in the long jump to finish third overall, while Scamman finished eighth with a distance of 5.97 meters.
Simpson also added a sixth-place jump of 11.96 meters in the triple jump to finish sixth and junior
Jaden Grazulis closed out the Eagles day with a seventh-place throw of 38.96 meters in the javelin, while junior
Kyle Hofmann set PR's in the javelin with a throw of 38.01 meters and in the discus throw at 24.91 meters.
Next up for Husson is the two-day Pine Tree State Classic hosted by Colby College on Friday and Saturday.
