LEWISTON, Maine — The Husson University men's indoor track & field team closed out the 2024-25 season on the road at the Bobcat "Fresh" Tune-up hosted by Bates College, breaking six personal-best marks on the day.
Freshman
Shane Conti set a PR in the 200 meters with a time of 25.51, while sophomore
Thomas Hinton PR'd in the 400 meters with a time of 56.99 to finish eighth overall.
Senior Jeremy stone also set a PR on the day in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:07.34 and freshman
Matthew Scamman clocked an 8.94 in the 60-meter hurdles to finish fifth.
Sophomore
Mykal Roberson cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump to post a sixth-place performance and Scamman added to afternoon with a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.32 meters. Freshman
Cohen Parker also set a PR in the long jump with a jump of 5.72 meters, along with sophomore
Gage Moody who PR'd with a 5.35-meter jump.
Roberson and Parker finished fourth and fifth, respectively in the triple jump with distances of 11.78 and 11.47 meters, while Moody and Conti finished seventh and eighth, respectively with a distance of 10.64 and 10.55 meters — Conti's jump of 10.55 meters set a PR for the freshman.
Husson closes out its indoor season at the New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1 in Boston, Massachusetts at the Track at New Balance.
