BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's soccer team has announced the commitment of Kaitlyn Jones to its 2025 recruiting class.

Jones is a defender and midfielder from Dracut, Massachusetts, where she attended Dracut Senior High School for her junior and senior years, after going to Innovation Academy for her first two years.

Jones played four years of varsity soccer, in addition to playing for the FC Stars for the past three years and Seacoast for another three years.

After her first year of playing varsity for Innovation Academy, Jones was named Outstanding Newcomer for her contributions to the team that year.

"I chose to attend Husson because after spending time with coach Mullins, members of the soccer team, touring the school and meeting with faculty, I immediately felt like it was a great fit for me and that I could be successful in their occupational therapy program," Jones said. "The opportunity to be part of the soccer team just makes it even more exciting to be attending in the fall."

Off the pitch, Jones has been a member of National Honor Society and National Business Honor Society and has made honor roll and high honors multiple times since her freshman year.

"I would first like to thank my mom and dad, as they have always been my biggest fans," Jones stated. "Thank you for coming and supporting me at all my games and for bringing me to countless practices, clinics and tournaments. I would also like to thank all the people who have coached me over the years, especially my dad, who was my first coach at 4 years old and coached me through rec and travel. And a special shout out to my FC Stars coach, coach Leah, who has always truly valued me as a player."

While at Husson, Jones plans to study occupational therapy.
